
Our Story
The Ōpōtiki Community Health Trust was established in August 1996 by the following Trustees:
Bernie Clements, John Delamere, Mary Delamere, John Forbes, Jeremy Luxton, Susan McKay, Guy Nadan, Heather Thomson and Robyn Towersey. They quickly brought their numbers up to ten trustees by appointing Tahu Taia in February 1997.
It is important to mention that ŌCHT covers the whole of the Ōpōtiki region, including Ōpōtiki , Te Kaha, Waiotahe, Cape Runaway and Oponai.
Meet the Team
This charitable health trust has a range of community trustees:

Four are appointed by the Whakatōhea Maori Trust Board

Three are selected community members

One trustee appointed by the regional Health Authority

Two appointed from among health-care providers.
We are currently looking to engage another community Trustee.
